The retina is a light-sensitive neural tissue layer inside the eye. If retinal detachment occurs and and treatment is delayed, the photoreceptors in retina will deteriorate resulting in permanent visual loss.
Common symptoms of retinal detachment include: acute floaters, flashes and/or peripheral visual field defect blocked by a curtain-like black shadow.
Our team of ophthalmologists will perform a detailed fundal examination for you and provide emergency treatment if there are retinal breaks or retinal detachment. If you experience any of the above symptoms, please contact us immediately or seek emergency care.
